Dr. Shannon Sinsheimer, ND, is a California state-licensed naturopathic doctor and medical director of Optimal Health Center. Dr. Sinsheimer founded Optimal Health Center, the first naturopathic clinic to serve the Coachella Valley, providing high quality integrative services with a renowned reputation for integrity, dedication to service, and quality healthcare. She is distinguished for her commitment to elevating patient care for the past 18 years. 

Dr. Sinsheimer achieved her naturopathic medical doctorate graduating with honors from the National University of Natural Medicine(NUNM) in Portland, Oregon, the oldest accredited naturopathic medical college in North America. During her education and training, she completed advanced coursework and clinical training at the Homeopathic Medical College in Mumbai, India, assisted in clinical research at Oregon Health and Science University’s Mind Research Center (ORCCAMIND), and completed a one-year internship at the Center for Natural Medicine specializing in cardio-pulmonary wellness and endocrine disorders.

Dr. Sinsheimer has been prevalent in educational media events serving as creator and a production coordinator for a 6 part documentary series focused on naturopathic medicine on PBS, written for numerous medical publications, been featured in various  video content from TV news and informational productions to streaming online video content, and is a regular featured guest for podcast interviews. 

In her own practice, Dr. Sinsheimer focuses her treatment plans on creating a path toward optimal wellness for each patient. Working with patients of all ages, she treats a wide range of conditions using lifestyle counseling, diet modification, nutritional supplementation, homeopathy, and botanicals.

Dr. Kate Van Grouw, ND

Dr. Kate Van Grouw, ND earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Redlands prior to the completion of  her naturopathic medical doctorate at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Kate is completing advanced training in integrative psychiatry with Psychiatry Redefined, under the mentorship of Dr. James Greenblatt, MD to deepen her expertise in this discipline.  

Dr. Kate’s practice is devoted to supporting individuals who seek a trauma-informed doctor. Mental health challenges are commonly accompanied by physical health symptoms making the condition feel overwhelming. Dr. Kate meets patients in these moments with compassion and clinical insight, helping them feel seen, validated, and empowered to move toward their health goals.

Grounded in a bio-psycho-social approach to care, Dr. Kate believes your story provides essential context for understanding how biology, psychology, and lived experience intersect to shape your health.
